Stephen Morgan is the principal of Stephen Morgan Architect LLC, an architectural and design firm based in Manhattan and founded in 1989.

Stephen Morgan specializes in high-end residential design and renovations. Stephen is engaged from original conception through the many stages of construction and interior decoration. Often beginning with the property search, Stephen Morgan advises his clients on the feasibility and cost-analysis of a project. In collaboration with the decorator, he conceives architectural aesthetic and interior finishes to coordinate with the overall décor.

With over forty years of experience, Stephen Morgan has extensive knowledge of design, planning, budgeting and construction administration. His vast portfolio includes renovations of countless apartments, lofts, and townhouses in New York City (see below for a partial list of building addresses), and homes built in the Hamptons, Los Cabos, the Bahamas, and Stockholm. On numerous occasions his work has been featured in Architectural Digest.

Prior to founding his own firm in 1989, Stephen worked at Peter Marino Architect. As a senior project architect, Stephen worked on notable commercial projects, including the design of Barney’s New York, Datascope Corporate Headquarters, and Whittle Communications. Before working with Peter Marino, Stephen was at James D’Auria Associates designing showrooms, and at Gruen Associates, where he completed the renovation and expansion of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Stephen began his career at Harold Buttrick & Associates, where he worked on diverse projects such as the design for the Marymount School and an exhibit at the Bronx Zoo.

Stephen received his architecture license in 1981 and holds his degree from Pratt Institute, School of Architecture.
